The foreign policy speech certainly sounded like a lot, until you looked at what was said. It’s nothing more than jingoistic word salad. perhaps strung together a bit more artfully than Sarah Palin, but if anything it means less and is more dangerous.

Dogwhistles Continue
Mittens may be doing his pandering thing but perhaps he’s willing to throw out a bit of veiled red meat to his base, just to make sure that they’ll continue to put up with the temporary – and I’m sure it’s temporary – swing to the left. It’s that ‘boy’ thing. That horridly offensive ‘boy’ thing. And Mittens isn’t alone in it. He’s got his family, and even Paul Ryan, in on the fun, with Ryan suggesting that poor people in the inner cities – and we all know who he’s talking about – lack character and discipline.
