Just degraded? Or wasn’t much to go on in the first place and it’s easier to just climb down and try again when you think you can get it through? I don’t think for one second that Syria’s Assad is a saint, but this isn’t the first time the UK has cooked up information in the Mideast and eyeing what they do is probably a good idea.

If the Romney campaign didn’t have a whiff of desperation about it before, it reeks of it now. Everything, no matter how lame, is being puffed up into a gaffe. Crap from the right wingnut sphere is getting chucked into the air like so much flak in the hope that something will stick. Or at least obscure. I’m voting on obscure.
For far too long, progressives have been known for not punching back. That has changed. And of course the right wing is whining, bullies and cowards that they are. But the point is, progressives are fighting back. Oh hell, are they fighting back.
