Former film actor and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will run with the Olympic torch in Stanley Park Friday morning, Vanoc announced today as it unveiled a star-studded cast of runners for the coming week.

Joining Schwarzenegger will be Canadian astronaut Julie Payette, singer Jann Arden, former Canuck Richard Brodeur, singer Michael Bublé, former British Olympian Sebastian Coe, Terry Fox’s father Rolly, Wayne Gretzky’s father Walter, B.C. rugby legend Gareth Rees, Canucks alumni Stan Smyl and B.C. Lions great Lui Passaglia.

Bublé will be flaming up Burrard Street at 7:51 p.m., beginning at a “Visitor Info” sign and ending up at Pacific and Howe.

Arden will carry the torch earlier in the day along Oak Street, beginning at about 3:17 p.m. at the Child and Family Research and ending at Connaught Drive.

Their manager Bruce Allen will also be carrying the torch. Allen’s run will be a day earlier (Feb. 10) at 7:14 p.m. on 22nd Street in West Vancouver, starting at Ecole Pauline Johnson School and ending in the 1400 block.

The 106-day torch relay comes to an end this Friday after having covered more than 45,000 kilometres.

Schwarzenegger is scheduled to run just after 7 a.m. on Friday. He is slated to hand the torch off to Coe, chair of the London 2012 Organizing Committee.
