If you were to take a cross sample of the 'nutters, you'd find that a lot of them have likely not read the WR, and if they have, have never looked at it in any sort of depth, as in, to take it apart. You'd also find that a lot of them simply take it on faith that, because the government has said that it is so, that it is so. The same types of people can be guaranteed to get behind whatever it is the government puts its official stamp on, without question. I've always had a bit of a problem with that line of thought, or non-thought as the case may be. I always find it amusing that many of the Lone Nutters forget the the official government position is that the assassination IS a conspiracy. The long discredited Warren Commission Report is not the final word on the event and there have been other official inquiries since then. The fact that they were taken there kicking and screaming is another issue altogether. And also interesting is the fact that the Dept of Justice has ignored studiously any and all new evidence. If Oswald really was just a disgruntled lone nut why is there anything, let alone 1,000's of records, that needs to be kept under wraps for 75 years? Why not hold the trial in Texas under Texas law. Homicide was a crime there too. Still is. And it's not too late as there is no statute of limitation on murder, JFK or Tippet's murder. There is a whole other story about the bumpy road that was travelled to get this book to market. The chain of evidence for the photos is all wrong. They were only found on the 3rd search of the Paine residence and they were not even entered on the inventory sheets of Oswald's possessions. There is no evidence that Oswald owned clothing that he was wearing in the photos. Robert and Patricia Hester who owned the National Photo Lab in Dallas had spent the night of the assassination processing photos for the FBI and secret Service. They said that the FBI had color transparencies of the backyard photographs the night of the assassination and had one color transparency that had nobody in the picture. The backyard photographs were not found until the next day after the third search. Twenty years after the assassination a photo like the backyard photos turns up in the Dallas police files but it has the figure of a man cut out. When the backyard photo is blown up to Oswald's height the rifle is too long. When it is reduced to the right size of the rifle the person is about 6 inches shorter than Oswald's height. Farid may have found a super new method of looking at photos but it still doesn't put Oswald there. Now we have the magic photo. Just in time to try to discredit the new book about Tom Wilson's research into the images of the assassination A DEEPER, DARKER TRUTH Tom Wilson's Journey into the Assassination of John F. Kennedy by Donald T. Phillips. I'd take Wilson's research over Farid's any day. Nor is Wilson the only other researcher who proves alteration in this and other images.
